....But my darling, its when when I think of thee (Trad Irish folksong) So, another high publicity walkaway from Twitter:
I'll be on the Service Infrastructure panel (thats about the unsexy stuff wot makes the whole 2.0 thang run) at the Wealth of Networks Conference tomorrow. This session covers:
Anyone that follows rowing will have known Henley Royal took place recently.  That said, anyone who follows the hat circuit will also have noticed this. Heading down there this year I met up with a few old friends and was reminded of a crew mate’s antics from two years ago, which involved skimming his BlackBerry, and was wondering if anyone can beat his phone’s skimming ability?
I used to work for an agency that believed that Macs were better at everything.  It would spend a fortune on a Mac and then only use it to do MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the interweb.  It did seem like a waste of money, especially as the company in question wasn’t the best payer out there.
Rmeo. Rmeo. Wr4rt thow Rmeo. It’s hardly as the bard would have put it but it seems that the criticism aimed at texting might not be 100 per cent warrented. I have to admit that I’ve been one of the whingers in the past and become very frustrated at parents using txtspk.  It frustrates me and does form part of a first impression - and that’s not always a good one.
The Times says the "Asprox computer virus" is infecting British web sites, but actually, it's just another escalating round of SQL injection attacks
Got this via the MoMo London list and thought it might work for our burgeoning job board idea. If you work in PR, this one’s for you. Business is good for Schwartz, it seems. They’re on the hunt for some AEs… (took me a while, but I figured it out: ‘Account Executives’) for their London office.
Got this in — any suggestions? I’m hoping you can point me in the right direction. Do you know where I can get a list of Mobile Aggregators that operate in The Philippines? I can find a bunch that offer Bulk SMS, but very few, (one in fact) that offer Short Codes, or Shared Short Codes. If you can point me in the right direction it will be a big help.
I’m on the hunt for some companies to profile here on SMS Text News and I’ve got some availability this coming Friday afternoon. If you’d like to meet, drop a mail over to me — ewan@smstextnews.com.
The weekly podcast trips into virtual worlds. Unlike the real one you're in. You are, aren't you?
Golly gosh! Look at the new Daily Mirror website that began rolling out today. It's not only a genuine departure from its former site but amounts to a totally new approach to all the newspaper sites I've ever seen. I...
Tom Loosemore of Ofcom gave a presentation about how to make more than just 0.00001% of TV available (and not through DVD box sets either)
Following this website's report about News International launching a home delivery service for readers if The Times and Sunday Times, I've taken a broader look at the phenomenon of papers becoming their own newsagents in my London Evening Standard column...
Can anyone throw any light on this little puzzle? According to the Newsquest website, it publishes "almost 300 weekly newspapers" in Britain, including 17 daily titles. Its US parent, Gannett, claims on its website that Newsquest's portfolio includes 17 paid-for...

Was this a silly error, as I suspect, or a sinister attempt to reinforce the false view that Barack Obama is a Muslim? An MSNBC Live report yesterday carried a two-way between the anchor, Contessa Brewer, and Newsweek's Baghdad...
The Chicago Tribune is about to change. According to this report by Crain's, the staid broadsheet is testing out a four-section prototype. The first will be devoted to "consumer-oriented and entertainment features." Local, national, international and business news will appear...
Former Herald political editor Murray Ritchie complains that the Scottish press, in claiming that the polls show Scots overwhelmingly opposed to independence, is retailing a lie. In fact, he says the opposite is the case. He goes on to quote...
The publisher of Today, a privately-owned Gambian newspaper, has been accused of "publishing with seditious intention". Abdulhamid Adiomoh, a Nigerian, was arrested after the paper ran a story about school children playing truant to scour a dump for scraps of...
I’m sure you’re sick of hearing about my troubles with O2 by now, but it’s not over yet!
